Wait - there's more!

It was a busy day today -- or I just have so many random thoughts in my mind.

For instance:
- We took part in a possible life-saving experience today. OK, so the life was that of a wild duck along a stream near our house and Scott and I really had no part other than watching in interest. The duck apparently got hit by a car and had a broken leg. After hearing the local farmer's father talk about "putting it out of its misery," I kept glancing at Dick Duck (we named these on a walk several weeks ago. I forget his woman's name, but the baby was Petey.) and his 'wife' who was pacing along the edge of the road. Said farmer came into town, however, on his four-wheeler, complete with veterinary tape, which stays on animals and should keep Dick Duck's leg still long enough for it to heal.

Dick Duck was put down, hobbled on one foot down to the water and quacked in appreciation.

- Scott and I *might* go to an audition for Who Wants to be a Millionaire's Wedding Week (where engaged couples answer questions and win money for their big day). We both got accepted to the audition round, which takes place in New York City next month.

We seriously need to practice our random trivia.

- I've put weight on. Not a lot, and not by accident. Much to the request of Scott, my doctors, loved ones and the rational voice inside my head (which I had locked up for several years but recently let loose again).

It's not a big deal (although I'm sure I'm about the only bride-to-be who tries to put weight on with less than four months until her wedding) and I don't freak out as much as I thought I would when I look in the mirror. I haven't even panicked when my old jeans were a little snug.

But that doesn't mean I don't freak out at all.

I just keep telling myself that this is OK and that I'm just actually at a really healthy weight and size and all of that good stuff.

I will.NOT freak out.
